Campus Visitor Agreement
WEATHER
Our tours take place rain or shine. We may provide an indoor visit experience whenever possible if there are weather-related advisories or warnings. We recommend that guests dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. Campus and Visitor Relations has the discretion to decide if conditions are unsafe to proceed with an outdoor campus tour. Please note that if there is thunder or lightning within 10 miles of campus, University policy requires tour groups to shelter in place for 30 minutes.
CHECK-IN & ARRIVAL TIME
Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to check-in. Please do not arrive late. We do not maintain a wait list for sessions at capacity.
VISIT CANCELLATION
We reserve the right to cancel events at any time for any reason without rescheduling. Failure to follow this agreement and safety protocols may also result in the cancellation of the visit.
EXCUSED ABSENCE DOCUMENTATION
For students needing verification of attending a college visit or event, please be sure to visit the Office of Admissions and Recruitment office, or the information desk or check-in table at any of our events. For those attending a daily Admissions Information Session or a campus tour, Excused Absence Documentation can be requested at the Campus and Visitor Relations' Welcome and Information Desk when you check in.
We are unable to retroactively verify an excused absence if the student is not registered and marked as attending within Visit Bucky.
PETS
Pets are not permitted at UW–Madison and may not participate in any portion of the campus visit. This includes information sessions, campus tours, and any activities within campus buildings. Only service animals specifically trained to perform a task or work for a person with a disability are permitted as required under federal and state laws.
Please note: The Campus Visitor Agreement is subject to change. Please review this page before visiting campus.
